University of Maryland, College Park Instructional Designer (March 2016 – present) Instructional Design Coach and empower faculty on course (re)design, storyboarding, technology selection, and practices for assembling learning objects and assets using available authoring tools for delivery using Canvas. Work with faculty and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify what students need to learn. Apply knowledge of learning sciences to develop instructional approaches, select tools, systems and processes required for designing effective and highly interactive learning strategies. Adapt instructional materials and resources created for one format (usually face-to-face) to another format (usually for blended, online, and e-learning). Translate course objectives and learning outcomes into highly engaging and compelling game design concepts.
